
The profession has grown in prudence over the use of X-rays
with the emergence of various directives. In Britain the National
Association carefully monitors the use of x-ray units within
practices to a high standard.
A European-wide survey conducted in 1994 showed 18% of patients
are X-rayed by chiropractors.
N.B. If available, existing NHS or private films or reports
will be sought to help the initial workup.
Any X-ray that has a concerning or doubtfull appearance is
reviewed by a consultant radiologist at no extra cost to the
patient.
N.B. Should the patient's GP wish to refer any patient for
private X-rays, this service including a consultant radiologist
report can be arranged.
